PRE, POST & NEO-NIMROD
Examines selected fundamentals and principles associated with man’s ability to comprehend visual, mathematical or situational perceptions.
Bending The Rule
, challenges fundamental principles. What happens (visually and systematically) when the fundamental principles for the Golden Rule of Scaling are changed by imposing new ones based on the original? The imposition of three new fundamentals (three steps removed) produces a logical sequence of 24 compositions.
Time Spent
, investigates a 6' x 6' area by means of writing numbers in sequence until the area has been completely filled. The same area is then navigated by a 3-rpm synchronous motor rotating the same number of times as the written numbers (21,166). Man vs. machine.
Imperceptible Eight
, tests man’s ability to visually comprehend eight dots. It is known that six objects are immediately perceivable and that seven objects challenge man’s perception ability. Imperceptible Eight crosses the threshold of man’s basic visual perception in a simple manner producing complex outcomes.
